A few words about

What We Do

Our projects

Our organization is involved in numerous projects in the Hampshire area.

We work with competent United Kingdom governmental and registered non governmental agencies respectively.  We also work with Igbo cultural groups globally.

Annual Distribution of Palliatives to members

when families struggled to access basic items due to shortages in supply chain. Nzuko NDI IGBO Hampshire, graciously stepped in to cushion the effect on its members by distributing substantial Palliatives to all its members. Since then, this ritual has continued in the spirit of love and oneness.

Welfare Packages

Keeping true to our ethos, Nzuko Ndigbo Hampshire as an organisation supports its members during significant life events such as bereavements, maternity, weddings etc. More important than the financial contribution, is the physical presence and support we provide to our members during their times of celebration or mourning. Whatever the season of life is, we are there to walk together in unity and oneness

Iri Ji festival

Iri ji in English means eating yam. The Iri-Ji (new yam) Festival is a time of thanksgiving to the gods for making the farm yields possible and praying for good yields for the next planting season. This event is an important event in the calendar of Igbo people all over the world.

Igbo Language Lessons

It is the tool for communication handed down to us by our ancestors. At Nzuko Ndigbo Hampshire, we believe in the preservation and promotion of our native language especially for the next generation. We do this by holding regular Igbo language lessons and activities for families and kids. To enroll your child in our Igbo language classes, please contact our exco member Barr Ngozi Otiaba for more details.

Women’s Wing.

Nzuko ndi Igbo Hampshire women wing is a very formidable and strong part of the organization. Our women are very active even behind the scenes as they provide strong support not only to the entire organization but also amongst themselves in times needed.

As part of their social activities they have a women dance group, they also often times go out on social evenings to network and encourage one another.

This group in an envy of its kind world wide.
