Projects across Hampshire
Welcome to Nzuko Ndigbo Hampshire
We work towards promoting and supporting the welfare and unity of Igbos resident in Hampshire.

Our Mission
Promoting the culture and heritage of Ndigbo in Hampshire and Beyond
Nzuko Ndi Igbo Hampshire (NNIH) is a structured network that caters to the cultural, social and professional needs of its members.
One of the objectives of the Organization is to unite Igbos within the region, in the spirit of OBI UMUNNE. Some of the activities that demonstrate our objectives and values are:
Annual Distribution of Palliatives to members –
This initiative was birthed during the Covid 19 lock down era, when families struggled to access basic items due to shortages in supply chain. NNIH, graciously stepped in to cushion the effect on its members by distributing substantial Palliatives to all its members. Since then, this ritual has continued in the spirit of love and oneness.
Welfare Packages –
Keeping true to our ethos, NNIH as an organisation supports its members during significant life events such as bereavements, maternity, weddings etc. More important than the financial contribution, is the physical presence and support we provide to our members during their times of celebration or mourning. Whatever the season of life is, we are there to walk together in unity and oneness.
Igbo Language Lessons–
As we know, our language is our identity. It is the tool for communication handed down to us by our ancestors. At NNIH, we believe in the preservation and promotion of our native language especially for the next generation. We do this by holding regular Igbo language lessons and activities for families and kids. To enroll your child in our Igbo language classes, please contact our exco member Barr Ngozi Otiaba for more details.
Women’s Group –
At NNIH, we have a strong women’s group where women support each other professionally and through friendships to grow and thrive. The group holds regular talks and workshops for women and families such as financial literacy for children, promotion of the arts and many others. The group also holds other social networking events such as group lunch or dinners to provide opportunity to meet new Igbo women.
Other Activities–
As an organisation there is never a dull moment, as we have series of activities and events which run throughout the year such as summer barbecues, professional networking events, Christmas and end of year parties as well as our iri ji festival.
If you are of Igbo heritage and live within Hampshire, UK, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please get in touch with us today!
